We are more than mother or whore and the romance genre leads the way in showing us a way out of the kitchen or the whore house.
It’s the goal we should all strive for as authors, to create a world, whatever world we chose to write in, and pull our readers in. We have to make them care about the characters.
I pulled the idea of the little girl out of the ether but it turns out, it wasn’t from a void. It really happened to a soldier and now I’ve got to decide whether or not to keep my book the way it is or change it.

So I’m leaving the reject comment up, just like I’m going to try and deal with negative online comments and negative backlash. You can’t help what people think. You can only do the best you can, learn from your mistakes and try to grow as a person in whatever role you’re in.
