Gang, my Facebook advertising account has been shut down. So what does this mean? It means the number one way I’ve been sustaining my writing career since going indie in 2014 is gone. Unless they decide to reactivate my account, I have no other effective way to advertise my books.

It means my writing days may very well be over because without having social media to boost my posts and find new readers, my books are lost in the massive slush pile on the ebook retailers.

It means that whatever I sell in the first week of sales is pretty much it for me b/c I’ve never had a long tail of a new release boost.

I’m not sure whether Facebook will respond to my appeal of their decision or not. I’m trying not to panic but with a new release less than 2 weeks away, I have now lost the number one way of reminding readers to find my books.

And yes, before people comment, I have a newsletter list that I’ve built for years. Yes, I’ve done all the things you’re supposed to do with building a series and hope that people will read through the entire thing. I’ve done everything you’re supposed to do as an indie author except write a book every two months.

I’m trying not to panic. It’s not exactly working.
